Dreams

The ice hangs down

down, over the window.

A slick sheet

of coated dreams.

They shimmer.

They shine.

But when the sun wakes

they will melt

under His cruel gaze.

The night spreads out

out, over the land.

The night

is borne of dreams

And dreams

are born of the night.

They shimmer.

They shine

under the full Moon

Who smiles down upon them, gently

softly

dreams.

The Look

So I was driving down the road the other day, and I glance over and see this guy driving the car next to me. He’s noticeable because of his hair. It’s spiked up in the currently “trendy” way, only the spikes are like, 4 and 5 inches tall. If he dyed his hair blue he could be Sonic the Hedgehog.

And I thought, “Why is that popular? I would never want to date someone who looks drastically different immediately after getting out of the shower than they do at any other time.”

That guy probably takes longer in the bathroom than I do.

And that just ain’t right.

Things That I Like

I spend so much time talking about things that I don’t like that I figured I’d post this so that people know that there are things I do like. Please note: People are not included in this list. This is a list of general things.

Paper

Blank books

Trees

Artgum erasers

Dogs in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Colors

Chocolate

Autumn

Motorcycles & dirtbikes

Words

Freshly ground pepper

The taste of a new clarinet reed

Candlelight

Sandalwood

New Sharpie markers

Buttons (the kind that holds your shirt closed, not the kind that holds your political views)

Embroidery floss

The smell of: Horses, hay, leather, woodsmoke, wet leaves, two-stroke oil, and pet stores.

The smell, taste and texture of sweet feed.

Roses

I will probably add to this list frequently.
