Liquor store woes

Is it me or do the liquor stores close early? Is this because of Sunday hours? or something as simple as where I live? I need to know because I will move closer to my local liquor merchant if that will make him happy and keep the store open?

    Monday through Saturday the law states that they must be closed from 1am-9am, Sunday hours are 12pm-8pm (except that on a Saturday night they could be open until 1am Sunday morning).

    I know of one liquor store along the Kirkwood Highway corridor thas is open past 11 pm. That’s ridiculous. They can stay open till 1 if they choose.
